How to revise for GCSE Science and get your best possible grade

If you take only one thing away from here, it has to be the The Science Break revision planner.

Planning effectively is crucial. You don't need to revise everything because you probably know a lot already, so planning is crucial.

(Very) common barriers to effective revision are:

  • Starting with topic you already know

Feels productive, but it doesn't improve weak areas

  • Jumping randomly between topics

No structure so you remember less

  • No clear plan or timeline

It's hard to stay on track if you don't know what's next

  • Ignoring difficult topics

They stay confusing if you don't deal with them

  • No tracking of progress

You can't see improvements or topics that need work

  • Relying only on the revision you do at school

it doesn't always target what you need
